The way you bowl is all about where you grow up, shane lives in Christchruch were the wickets play pretty low, some he has grown up bowling short of a lenth, aiming for top of off stump, when he plays on hard pitches, were the ball bounces more, the ball will go further above the stump.

What does this mean..... Yeah i don't know, forgot what i was trying to say.

He normally pitches it short and I think he has noticed that when he was very young, and since he was not very good at pitching it at good lenght, he improved this shorter delivery a lot expesciallu with his pace. He is afterall the 3rd fast bowler in the world right now.

he loves that lenght he bowls mate and gets success with it and because he is more  a back of a lenght bowler, he needs the pace more than anything.

Then hes fine, why does he need to put any strain on his back, he needs to take it easy!

I disagree that he is consistent, he can be pretty unpredictable in a bad way!

A tribute to the best signature ever.

I think he tries to hard to be quick, and puts too much stress on his back, he
needs to work on consistency and accuracy, rather than pace

Read an article in the newspaper, quoteing bond as saying something along the lines of "I am fully fit now and am really looking forward to getting back into international cricket and hopefully taking a few wickets as well"

just hope that he hasn't lost pace and is back in form. Otherwise, there will be no more bowlers except for Bret Lee who will hold the game longer from being a pure batsman's game. We need someone like Bond to help him do that.

A real forgotten talent. In naming your best 1 day team not many would say him even though he's got an unbelievable average of 18, in the words of Steve Irwin, CRIKEY!

My word! SHANE BOND IS AMAZING!

in that world cup match he had the aussie batsmen playing at everything, and getting beaten by pace. They didn't know wat was happening! AMAZING STUFF!!!

plus u got to love the late swing in the right handers..., specially for the yorkers.

He has such a beautiful action, the pace, the accuracy, the movement - brillaint. That 6-for against Aust in the WC '03 (I was watching it on TV live and was amazed/almost in tears; and i have the DVD of the WC and I have seen it a no. of times) . He is brilliant - it is a shame he is so injury prone and that he was only founud a couple of yrs ago (he is a cop) - when he should have been sort after 10 yrs ago; now he is 31 yo and time is cathcing up on him.

I actually did read it !! It was a great read though...thats if you're interested!

I just wish I can see bond in action anytime soon. I always liked his bowling. He has scared the sh1t out of all sides! The best for the Kiwis after Richard Hadlee .
