You know, I laugh anytime I hear an India say Hockey is the national sport. It's a joke really, we all know where the greatest sports interest of India lies.

all right guys, I'm set for a boring start to the new year, had some plans with my family but those got cancelled, I'm not going out anywhere with friends, now my family is going out to my relatives place and I'm not going out with them either I just don't want to as I'll get bored there, my wife has gone to her home town just recently... boy this has to be the most boring start to my new year ever!!!

You are now my best friend Mystery, my philosophy is that "you have to eat to survive". Stock up on plenty meat mate. Another of my theory, "there is no complete meal without animal protein".

 Thanks Guyz! and yup! I love eating meat too... Chicken and Fish and I love them ... Mutton too... only thing I don't like is Beef and Prawns, just don't like the taste.finally I've decided that I'll go to my cousins place! Just be together, have dinner and watch TV!

Sam, isn't beef restricted in India? Or is it that some cows are not to be killed in India?
Nonetheless, I, just like Zuhair, love beef. Same for Mutton and chicken. Zuhair has a point about Chicken for chicks. Females here will rather go for Chicken over beef, mutton etc. Maybe they think the others will fatten them more than chicken. Places like KFC makes a shedload of money here. Anyways, I also love pork as well, which is restricted to Zuhair, but it is a very sweet meat, gives you a lot of energy too. By far my favourite land meat. Lobster maybe the sweetest of the sea foods here and there is a good variety here. There is Turtle, lobster, conch, crab, whelks, dolphin, fish, whale (rarely though), Shark. Plenty of sea food that Spinny!!! :) talking of Beef, it is certainly not restricted in my state BP, in fact most people in Hyderabad love to have beef, that is also because the muslim population here is very large and we can always be sure that we'll get completely "halaal" food. but I know it is restricted in states like Uttar Pradesh and Gujarat. When I was in Mumbai it wasn't restricted there but very few restaurants actually served it, in fact most highlighted that "we don't serve Beef". So it depends from state to state. I'm sure India as a country doesn't put any restriction on consumption of Beef.

This was the best celebration ever for me! Went to a New Years Party with a few mates and guess who were there... Ryan Campbell (WA and Australia keeper), Herschelle Gibbs and Paul Collingwood!! Took photos and had a great chat with Herscehlle - very cool and suave guy! |

Yeah it was awesome! Had a great time, didn't think I'd have such a great new years and it was seriously awesome to see some of my fave cricketers there. Always loved watching Gibbs, and I made a quip saying that 99 World Cup wasn't his fault, saying Donald can't run and he laughed!!

I met Ben Elliot today, the Executive Producer of the documentary "Fire in Babylon". He's a very cool guy, seems to love West Indian way of Cricket a lot. He got a bat from me and replied "cool, my very own West Indian bat", although it was an SS bat. He specifically asked for 2 tape balls to carry back to England as well.
Also, it made me realise that I haven't even watched the film yet. Me of all persons should have already seen this film, shame on me!! |

was just going through the FTP, next year 2013, we have the Ashes from June - August in Eng, then we have the Ashes again from Nov-January in Australia... WHY so many Ashes???? Is 2013 Ashes year or something???
