Clobber has a point, for me the tests are always the highlight of any series.

Spin Wizard also has a point though! We just never win them!

County Sim on extended break until I've got less work and more free time. When I have a specific date, I'll post it in the thread.

hmmmmmmm questionable decision by the Aussie selectors for our ICC Champions Trophy Squad.

6 pacemen selected and yet only 1 spinner, and the series is being played in India . Mitchell Johnson definetly does not deserve a place ahead of Dan Cullen anyway!!!

I'm also dissapointed that Jaques & Cosgrove have also been cut, i sure hope (no disrepect marto) that martyn has a horror series in Malaysia & ICC trophy, Cosgrove & Jaques have a lot more to offer Australian cricket than he does!!!

Common sense prevailed thankfully as Hayden was also cut!

5-0 You Beauty!!!!!

Thanks for the many fantastic memories Marto, Langer, Warney & Pidg

Nobody. Its the same line up of Katich and the Belligerent Gilchrist.

I'm also disappointed as well. I wanted to see casgrove in action too. I don't know much about jacques but I hear he's an exciting player.

Well , I've just heard the news that the 20-20 match between the Stanford super star side against the proteas have been called off. The date that it was supposed to be played clashed with the dates of the PAK vs WI tour and they stated that the match will not be played again.

However , there is great news for the Caribbean folks. The stanford 20-20 will be back again next year from DEC 2007 - FEB 2008 and after that the 5 million dallars winner takes all match will be played. There will be more teams as well like Aruba and the French Islands and some others - I am positive you all ain't know a thing about these islands.

There are more shocking news as well that the Windies Legend Holding has quit from the WICB. He said that as long as Ken Gordon is there he don't want a thing to do with West Indies Cricket. He also said that since Ken took over , questions were being asked all the time - that can mean 2 things as far as I'm concern but am not sure which it is.

true.... from an english perspective... from an australian perspective though you may have seen me on the international news if he'd been chosen ahead of Jaques & Cosgrove... and it wouldn't have been for anything charitable for the ACB either!!!

Saj has hit a rough patch of late, although if he led us to victory in the 4th ODI, he'd be a national hero!!

John Lewis is playing great in the one dayers, definitely putting up a claim for a permanent place.

RANDOM FACTS

Did you know that before each test match at the Bellerive Oval in Perth, Steve Waugh, Matthew Hayden and Justin Langer would go down to a local resturant and eat a lobster! The last time they did this Hayden and Langer played New Zealand and they made an opening partnership of 223.

Did you know that on the 29/9/69 John Inverarity was bowled for a duck after the ball deflected of a fying sparrow and on to the stumps! However the umpire called it a no ball. He went on to make 89.

Bradman won the South Australian amatuer squash championship in 1935.

The longest name in to play cricket played in the 1950-60s. His name was Fijian Talebulamaineiillikenamainavaleniveivakabulaimainakulalakeba lau (i think thats how u spell it)

I'm good at usless cricket trivia questions but i had to look up that last name.

Were you aware that there are 29 cricket leagues in the US , I wasn't!! In those leagues there are 50,000 active players and still growing.

So can cricket really take off in the States , apparently not , a student said,"It's way too complicated for Americans , and too slow."

That supports my general thinking of Americans - go read the article on the BBC web site.

Nothing related to cricket, but to anyone who follows motorsport..

a second australian icon has been killed this week... 9 Times Bathurst Winner (The Greatest Race) Peter "Perfect" Brock was killed this afternoon after losing control and colliding with a tree whilst he was competing in the West Australian Targa Rally. He died doing what he loves best..

RIP Peter....
