Consult your doctor on how to gain weight.

But, generally, eating lots of McDonalds can put on lots of weight, but don't try this unless you go see the doctor first.

Yeah, it is, but go see your doctor.

Macgill, if you live in Australia then you should be able to go to your local GP for free under medicare,, consult your doctor about the problem so that it can be resolved.
I believe 'wiseguy' is a doctor, although I am unaware to whether he is a medical practitioner or has a doctorate in another field.

I am in fact a doctor . you have a Body Mass Index of 13.84 (divide weight by square of height in meters). Since I don't know your age it is difficult to comment on the value. For a grown adult it is between 17-26. If you are between 14-17 this may be normal.

I'm 14 and I've got a BMI of 26.9.  That's means I'm 14 points more than MacGill. He can't be very normal (physically! LOL)

Mine is 33. So I am OBESE!!! (173 cm tall and 96kg) But I was 118kg when I was doing the shot putt. That made me gain 30kg in one year and 42kg in two years!! I was a very agile leggie when I was 15, 16, 17. at 17 I took discuss throw and shot putt, the body weight did shot up and I am stuck, could not reduce my weight!!

Poor me! I am without exercise. I am working at a hospital 75km from Colombo and this area is very remote even with the proximity to the capital. It rains so much, starts around 2 - 3 p.m. and keeps on for 5 - 6 hours. So could not even have a jog at the end of the day. The annual rainfall in this area is 4500mm!!

Shocked We get like 0mm of rain here in Melbourne, we are having severe droughts all across Australia and complete water shortages.

I am assuming that the artilleries and road networks in outer-Colombo are very poor and crowded. In Cairo to get from point A to point B is 15 km and it can take 2 hrs to get there!

I'm certainly not obese though. Obese means have 300 chins and bellies which fld out into more when you sit.

If you are 14 you have a lot of time to grow. In few years you'll broaden up in the upper body. With a help of gym you could make your upper body strong. Or else take shot putt as me!! you'll gain weight from the 1st instance you throw it. But don't worry you'll get a big upper half by 18.
Your final height (approx in cm) = (father's height + mother's height) / 2 + 14. You'very rarely grow tall past that.

Colombo is never a big city as Austrailian ones. It's a CROWDED city. it measures 9km x 1.5km in size and one million are crowded there. The area I work is quite desolate, which is at the foot of Rakwana hill complex and is in proximity to thick rain forests. Nice scenary around but I HATE the NON-STOP rain.

Maybe. Does it not depend what type of food you eat as well eg lots of protein for growth. Big%20smile

Well, my Mom is 5 ft 7 and my dad 5 ft 6! I am 5 ft 10 and I am only 16 and still growing. My 2 other brothers are all taller than our parents too so..... It all depends on what you eat and on your gene's as well that has been passed on.
