Hi All,
watching the cricket, I'm always intrigued by the small forearm guard looking things worn by the International Players? are these forearm guards, or infact, just large sweat bands? If they are forearm guards, is there anywhere that I can buy them from?

They're for protection, you can get them from most cricket stores.

Would you mind posting a link? I've looked at many sites and all I seem to find are the older style bulky ones.

"His classical hits down the ground, met with a checked drive, were Tendulkar at his best. It was though he had a new lease of life." - Sachin Tendulkar's return to cricket with a 91-Ball century.

I think I may have not made myself clear. What I refer to are these things, as seen on Matty Hayden's arm.

Sweat band, no doubt
When you win the toss - bat.
If you are in doubt, think about it - then bat. If you have very big doubts, consult a colleague - then bat.

yeh i have one myself, its just a double size sweat band, you can buy them in most good sports shots for about £6 for 2

i supose they would add a bit of extra protection, but there mainly just to wipe sweat
