White seems to be doing very well thus far doesn't he?

County Sim on extended break until I've got less work and more free time. When I have a specific date, I'll post it in the thread.

Yup, he's settled in nicely, although he hasn't bowled much yet - if he has half as much of an impact with the ball he'll be some player for us. A partial recovery from us with Durston, Johnson and Trego all making half centuries, 404-9 now. Edited by -JP- |

That's a great score considering! He does seem to have heaps of potential to become a somerset hero! Well maybe not that good but you never know! |

He'll have to go some to join the pantheon of greats we've had down at Taunton, i.e Botham, Gavaskar, Ponting, Crowe, Garner, Steve Waugh, Jayasuriya etc etc Good day today, we bowled Worcester out for 161, Cadd/ck with a five-for. We're stumbling a bit on 53/4, Matt Wood the captain is steadying things with 30*, but with White back in the hutch for 0 and Worcester feeling they might be into the tail shortly, it's a good game which we just about hold the edge in. We're 298 runs ahead. Edited by -JP- |

We were bowled out for 120. Worcester are 56/5 and need 321 for victory. We might win this. |

Wow. We won by 227 runs, Worcester bowled out for just 138. Obviously the pitch was deteriorating big-time, so it was a shrewd decision by Matt Wood not to enforce the follow on and his bowlers delivered brilliantly.

Moving swiftly on from the C & G debacle, we're playing Northants today, batting first and we're 21/1. Trescothick is so far unbeaten on 15. I think we all want and need him to score some big runs in this game. |

Trescothick is currently on 102. The rest of the team have forgotten how to bat. Again. 175/7. We won the toss and chose to bat as well.

258 all out. Trescothick 154 of them. Northants 65/2, Cullen has taken a wicket already. |

Haven't posted in here for a while - we took a good win against Surrey in the C & G, much thanks to Arul Suppiah with bat and ball.
We have hit 471ao against Essex, a 200 run partnership between Parsons (153) and Trego (102) provided the majority of that. Very encouraging stuff. |

Essex declared on 400/4, and we've declared on 275/5 overnight, leaving them a day to chase down 346.
That's a challenge, but one I reckon they'll go for, as clearly Irani and Andy Flower had the measure of our bowlers first time round. We really need our bowlers to be on top form tomorrow. Should be a good watch. |

Better news day, we have Leicestershire at 132/4. It seems the pace attack of caddi£k, Willoughby and Johnson is working now.
The good news for Leicestershire is that we are still opening our batting with Arul Suppiah. |

Suppiah continues to prove me wrong though. Every time I say they should play him, he doesn't score runs, every time I think we should give Francis or Edwards a chance, he gets runs.

Suppiah got out for 99, but we now have a lead, Johnson and caddi£k are having a bash at the end of our innings, and we're 50 odd ahead.

That, and Blackwell injuring his shoulder, which means he's out for the rest of the season.
Great. |

Championship game up against Glamorgan today, we bowled very well to get them out for 223, but then collapsed to 93-5.
At least Cameron White is there unbeaten at the close but we'll be lucky to get within 50 or so runs at this rate. |
