    Posted: 27 June 2008 at 8:44am
Hello, since there are no other sim's than the IPL story I've decided to make my own.
It's probably different than the normal sim's but it took a long time making so I hope it work's out.
You will probably realise this sim is fantasy as there are no spirit cricketers.
In this sim the people will ask for a team, supply there own name and I will PM them a list of spirit cricketers to make the team out of.
The manager who wins will be granted the use of the spirit international team for one year on the game(which does not equal one year in real life! ) and then the competition starts again.
The managers will choose the pitch for home games but beware it does not always come out as you want(the pitch that is ).

P.S. the spirits are like elements only a bit more veried i.e there are happiness, overlord and ability spirits and by the way, the spirits natures are different then the names,in other words a fire spirit won't necessarily be a big hitter.

Another post script, you are only allowed 22 players in your squad for the season, and I will be PMing you 25 so 3 will have to be discarded then you can PM your chosen squad, then after I get everyone's teams I will post the discarded players and everyone will be able to make last second changes to their team by bringing in some discarded players and chucking out some of the players they had chosen to keep when they PMed me their squad

Thank you for joining, but could you please name a team name?
Yes I know it's a bit weird but I played a round of it with my little brother who can hack into most things, and I don't mean hack as in steal, what I mean is,once when I got a cricket simulator he changed the colours of the sprites,he changed the flags,he made the commentator say different things(In a slightly different voice but it said them instead of its usual commentary) and changed the names of the random new players the game made. That's what I mean hacker he can get any game(almost,a few he has trouble with)and make it almost unrecognizable!
Anyway it worked for us so I decided it could be a sim to post on here.
And on another subject I don't actually think there's a spirit for everything if you wanted to know.
It just made a good idea for a cricket sim.

Another thing,if you don't like the spirits I PM you,PM me with the spirits you don't like and I will PM you there new names, that way no one is annoyed at there spirits.
You can also chose who bowls and how many overs the bowl in a cycle,in other words you chose how many overs to bowl each bowler for and then when they all bowl the amount of overs you set they just start again.
And I would appreciate it if everyone gave there ideas what the oneday, first class,twenty20,tournament and sector trophys could be called.
I will introduce the above named match groups later on because I've got to cook dinner for my family.(And I am my mothers third youngest son and I'm cooking dinner for my older brothers )

I probably should Mention This, every player you get will be good but you have to get rid of three players, therefore you get rid of things you hav excess of like too many bowlers of batsman or keepers,And it is Alright to open with someone who doesn't say opening but sometimes it doesn't work,And one other thing,Bowlers or Allrounders are the full time good bowlers the Batsman can just bowl a bit, like Sehwag only sometimes not as good as the batsman are not made to bowl but in my sim it counts Yuvraj and Micheal Clarke under batsman so along the way you may find Batsman who are quite useful with the ball.

Well Where's Wolves?
Five more days before I Allow the last minute changes to your teams.
Then after one more day I am going to give fixtures and ask the managers to give teams and home managers to choose pitch conditions, then as soon as I get this information I will play the first round.
After that I will ask for teams and conditions when I am next available to do the sim.
And I would prefer to have eight teams by the time I start so can a few people join please?

You know what oneday, first class and twenty20,tournament is a conglomoration of the other three,i.e. in tournament you start by playing OD's and you also play FC and T20 matches.
Sector is where you take two teams and those two managers jointly decide on the players to play.
i.e. team 1 and team 2 are a sector and team one and team 2's managers decide on a team from team 1 and team 2's players.Get it yet?

1.Death isn't actually on your team any more Monty as he was one of your drops.
2.I didn't actually say you were a spirit in this game, interesting idea though but if it comes into it anywhere it will be after I have this game up and running( in other words lets get the first season over with before I start thinking about ways to improve on it! )
3.Samhache do you want to play?

On another note, after each season I will check if any players retire, they start being able to retire at the age of 36 and they get more likly to retire every year after that until if your lucky enough to get a player to the age of 45 and still play then they retire at the end of the season.
And can someone else PLEASE play I wonder why my game is so unpopular as this, maybe I did something wrong? or maybe some people just don't like my spirit idea.
Oh well three more days before this starts.I'll PM Wolves because he hasn't given me a team name yet.

Oh well,I guess your right.
Well I can see why every other sim apart from the IPL has died, there just doesn't seem to be a prolonged interest in these types of games.
this could probably be locked now.
It doesn't serve any purpose as far as I can see except as a fact that my first thread didn't work out.

Oh I didn't see this thread until now. The problem with sims is either the creator becomes inactive, there are insufficent members that have joined or the members or inactive. If you look through all the other sims that haven't worked it will be because of one of these reasons. The Cricket World sim has been amazing with members and was very close to dying off at the start, however once things get going things will run more smoothly.

I was optimistic at the start but none of the three that joined except for Monty have given in their team and Wolves hasn't even given in his team name.
I think I just didn't get enough interest because the deadline I set is in two days and I don't look like I have enough people,So I've decided I am going to have this one closed down and plan a new sim,it will probably not be the same as this one but I will try something else, and I'm planing on making it really good if I can and hopefully it will work out but all I can say is that this one didn't work out.

1.mind your langauge.
2.a few people liked it and i've already asked it to be shut down but you don't have to rub the fact in that it wasn't so good,I already know it,I've said it in another post that it didn't work out.So can you be quite because I already know it failed.
