i havent used either properly, but i think i would prefer a bradbury because it is a much more solid shape, i don't like concave as much as it does not give a solid feel, i reckon the more solid shapes are atually more powerful, even though they do not look as big as concave bats with high spines.

you think wrong bill! also this is about bradbury bats, not every one wil agree with my OpinionS, and if every one did, it would be quite boring, thats why i put ' i think' in my post.

Anyway back to the topic, i found out tonight that grant flower has or has had his bats made by bradbury, and as one of the players at my club knows him, he is getting one off him as grant did not want it, and the weight of it, 2lb 4oz!!!! no joke, he must like his light bats grant!

Groovydude - I don't think it really matters at the end of the day unless you are playing cricket as a career.

Personally all these custom bats posts have turned me off them and I know my cricket isn't good enough to make a difference. Before I worry too much about minute details about a bat, i think my technique and shot selection requires my attention.

In that case.

Have a think about what type of player you are and select according to that instead of worrying about brand.

I read a good article the other day giving guidelines about weight, pickup, length etc depending on position in batting order and some other stuff. Trying to find a link for you.

If you score most of your runs driving then select a bat with mid to low sweetspot. If you are opening the batting select one with mid to high that you can move quickly.

Not sure what else. I am no expert. I am in the same dilemma about buying a bat.

yeh thanks for that. Umm, i just  have mixed opinions about both brands thats all and i cant pick between which one. So to make everything clear; the bradbury is a stock shape and cant be changed.

If you call both companies they can make something for you. Though I am sure both have stock product that they sell with no customisation.

If I had to choose, between those two, I would go for Bradbury.

Never used either.

All the fusion "supporters" on this forum annoy me. No proof they have had a Test cricketer use one of their bats.

Bradbury - If it is good enough for GOD (S. Waugh) and Punter, then I think it is good enough for you.

i dont think bill could say which players have used his bats over the years, if anyone wants to go and read the cricketsupplies.com forum they have been warned by the big manufacturers that legal action may be taken against anyone who said that a player uses bats other than their sponsoring companies, im sure though if you contact him directly, e.g. email or ring he can tell you,

I don't believe he has had any test cricketer use his bat.

Just like people ascert that Test cricketers use custom bats and re-sticker them.

My assertion is that no Test cricketer has used a Fusion bat. It usually gets out if they do, just as it did with Bradbury. Until I see proof, I will not give credence to any mumblings by supporters of the custom manufacturers.

Just read that forum. that is a fair response by the manufacturers.

I think it might happen here as I did tell Kooka in my email which forum had these rumours.

to jdr, he has told me about players that have used their bats, and given the name, and more or less the time that some of them used the bats, but im sure im not allowed to say anything either, and he asked me not to say it as i think he wants fusion to grow becuase people hear and see its quality, rather than knowing that so and so used their bats!

JDR i think you have said enough, your tone is quite nauseating and offensive, i would hope that the forum administator will put a stop to these topics because it is people like your good self that stir up un-necessary arguments.

By the way what is your first class record?

If you look at that link of CRAIG MCMILLAN that looks suspiciously like my fusion.

I'd be most surprised to see anyone here taken to court for suggesting that player x might be using or not using a particular type of bat.

I shall close this as people annoying other people is not what we're here for.
