Hi all,

A few days back , I had made a statement "India dosent need a genuine Fast bowler", when I was branded by many fourm memeber saying that

*my cricketing knoweledge was less,

*that India dosen't have a Fast bowler and I am jealous

*I will have to accept the fact and live with it that India cannot produce fast bowlers , who are captain's dream.

Now plz plz refer to this little piece of information from some batting greats.

http://content-ind.cricinfo.com/rsavaus/content/current/stor y/240629.html

Barry Richards: 'The skill has been taken out of cricket'

"Why would you want to be a bowler? For a start the ball doesn't swing. Batsmen are just hitting the ball straight. The International Cricket Council needs to look at things because this is ruining cricket."

Steve Waugh

Bowlers are going to be like accessories in the game

Hope sledger, wise, mini  and all those who told I was stupid, plz have a afterthought.

P.S:- I hope that this thread will not be closed

Lets come back to the topic , Is ODI's becoming a complete Batsman's game , where bowlers are just a dummies to complete the rituals?

Shane Keith Warne; we are blessed to be living in an era where the greatest ever spinner is bamboozling batsmen all over the world except INDIA.

Hey what I wrote is not a little nudge , but its fact.

You are the one that brought it up, are you an idiot or something. I though you were going to work and only going to come on the forum once a week and you wrote a thread and everything about your absense.

The comments made by Barry Richards are in large quite true - with bowling restrictions, fielding restrictions and ever shortening boundary ropes the whole one day game is geared towards lots of boundaries being hit.

But without having read the original thread I suspect you'll find those guys were referring to the need for a fast bowler in TEST cricket i.e. the real thing so just because Barry Richards has said that doesn't automatically make them wrong

I love test cricket, but as WC is nearing lets get into ODI's mode.

I think that bowlers should get just as much things as batsmen are getting. C'mon there are also players. Even if another Shane Warne is bor after a few years. He will not be so famous because it will be an era of only batsmen and that will never stop until in a few game bowlers dominate like anything. which is very difficult.

ODIs are just a waste of time. The batsmen are just trying to beat the crap out of the bowlers. Who actually thought that Australia would make 434...against SA...and who would've thought that SA would end up chasing it down and winning...against an attack that included Lee?! Pacers and all kinds of bowlers are becoming useless in ODIs. This is probably the first and only time that I'll agree with Krisdy...but its true! Bowlers are useless in ODIs. Its the batsmens game. What matters is which teams batsmen can smash the heck out of the oppositions bowlers more!
