hmmmmmmm........... not sure what to think.... any rankings that show Ricky ponting as 9th in MVP ratings for Australia alone, behind Brad Hodge (who isn't even playing), Stuart Macgill(play's on and off) and Stuark Clark (who has been dropped) are a little skew-if for mine. Not to mention the fact that it has Hoggard, who with flintoff carried the bowling in Englands tour of the Sub-Continent, at 11 for england, behind Graham Thorpe (hmmmmm isn't he retired) and Ian Bell (is he still in the team ???) questionable..... |

Blinkin' heck Murali's top of the pile by a mile! Pietersen not so surprising - he is amazing!

County Sim on extended break until I've got less work and more free time. When I have a specific date, I'll post it in the thread.

Akmal is a wicketkeeper batsman not an allrounder, he has been good with the bat and gloves. How long is the period that MVP ratings cover....? Edited by hk143 |

Ashley Giles took three good wickets, outbowling Shane Warne who matched him in the scorebook, but not on the field

The top all-rounder should be Kamran Akmal. He has been outstanding with the bat lately.

Yup!
I completely agree with you. Every great player has good times and along with those good times, there always have to be some bad times. Its just the way it is. |

Yeh all great players have gone through slumps, bar Sir Donald George Bradman, he is the only one, he didnt average 100 in tests for nothing. OTher players have gone thorugh small slumps, others 'medium' length slumps and otthers longer slumps. Sachin, Inzi, Lara, Ricky, Kallis, Dravid, Gilchrist have all been through slumps at some stage, but it doesnt mean you lose all the skill you have when you are inform, it is still there.
FORM IS TEMPORARY, CLASS IS PERMANENT.

No, he's being rested, there's a difference; He'll be 'regaining form' at home with his family.

I think the most valuable player in Test cricket should be Warne and in ODIs, I don't know.

I see the ratings are looking a bit more refined - there don't seem to be quite so many anomalies as when they were first introduced - keep up the good work.

Batting or Bowling?
Razzaq hasn't been doing too hot lately and he has been out of action because of injury. I don't think he deserves to be MVP. |

Dravid is an exceptional batter and certainly deserves to be in the MVP list.
