Ask him to experiment in one of the less important matches may be against some weak team like Chappel

Show dedication to the team, so improve your fielding, and try and get the boys going during the match with some chat, prove yourself as a important part in the field.

Im not saying that. I think my coach is good. But he plays the same battig line up every game and he always leaves people like me on the short end of the stick. I train everyday now and I can be seen at Bolton Indians cricket club everyday by myself either practising my batting against the bowling machine, practising my bowling or my feilding. I work harder thwn most people. So why should they bat up the order and fail every game while I suffer?

The thing is that Iv waited almost half the season for my time to come. Iv proven to him that I can bat amongst the big boys as i train with the seniors and am very confident in the nets. Everyone, even the ones batting in front of me say I should bat up the order. I dont see how Im being arrogant when everyones saying I should bat higher. Also even some scouts have come to watch me. There not interested in a bowler they want an all rounder and how can I do that with my coach not letting me reach my full potential?

Did you miss that little statement? You must have or else you wouldnt have saind that all they do is make up the numbers. Plus whats the point in sending in people who cannot bat and in the end lose the game for us? I said before this year my team agreed and everyone agreed that we were guna let the best players take control. |

way to miss the point....
Those guys at 3 & 4 may not be as good as some of those further down the order but if they aren't bowling either it's totally unreasonable to expect them to turn up every match just to make up your numbers in the field. |

Before the start of the season my coach and the entire squad got together. We all decided that the time for experiment was over and that we had a team who could win the league. But the only way to do it would be to play our best players. Your saying that its fair for me who only bowls 4 overs every 3 games bats number 9 while those who know themselves they cannot do the buisness go numbers 3 and 4 and then lose the game? I cannt see the logic in that. You wouldnt put someone like Steve Harmison number 4 would you? I am classed as an all rounder. Those who go in front of me are all bowlers and all they can do is defned. I go in and have to hit boundaries straight away. That makes me take risks and that makes me lose my wicket. Thus when the selector looks back on the figures sees me making 10 and 11 drops me futher down the order. |

Since you are evidently a bowler as well don't you think it fair to let other people have a go ahead of you?

I was a top order batsman last year and well among the runs. I didn't have an average for most the season because when you got to 35 in the under 15s you retire. I had made many runs. But now I have been stepped up to under 17z and I have been demoted to number 9. I dont want to sound arrogant but I am better then most batsmen that go in front of me. I have played extremely well in the 3 times I have batted. 10* 25* and 24*. My coach still wont put mt at least number 6. How would I impress him even more to move up the order? Any ideas? |
