I do.
I find it a lot more enjoyable if I have to work to find a win instead of just getting out of the game every time I lose the wrong match! |

Cricketowlrd forum used to be good but now it's just a boring ghost town. I reckon there's an average of about 4 posts per day. It's really gone down the pan. Why don't you advertise JP?

What year was that?
Brummer reminds me of A player I had called Henry Pheonix. Pheonix averaged 19.44 in FC so Brummer beat him there. He averaged 22.38 in OD so yet again you top me. However Pheonix averaged 8.39 in T20 so I managed to beat you in one form at least!

I lose 4-5 bowlers every time england play, luckily though ive picked up a certain 31 year old stuart broad who is going nicely and bolsters my attack. They also pick some of my crappy batsmen from time to time, not my opener who averages 57 in FC and about 52 in OD.

3 of my bowlers are constantly used by England.
My players who also play for England are: Peiterson:Guess Why!
Anderson:Again! Mattocks:Regen who bowls off spin. Darkes:A great batter.(Averaging 70+ in FC,averaging 14 in Tests! (At least he averages 40+ in ODI's! ))
Livingstone:Another regen, but he bowls pace. Leaburn:A regen that bats solidly and can bat at 1-6! 6 of my best being constantly chosen for England!

Currently on '06 my top bowling line up is the exact bowling line up england use. 2 of the bowlers aren't even that great, but are holding their own on the international stage.
On the other hand, i have 2 batsmen who should be first on the team sheet but are yet to make their debuts....i might have to take over england to get them in.

In 2016 I have won the 20/20 cup,am top of the 45/45 trophy and I'm going to get promoted to the 1st devision in the county champs.
If anyone still plays ICC 2005,would they like a network match?

Oh and on another note,How in the world are you supposed to win the challenge trophy in the county game?
I have played for 11 seasons and the best I've done with Lancs is the 1/4 finals!

ICC 2008 is a very good game.
And no you don't have to be the counties for anytime. It is your choice if you want to be a county or just go straight to international stuff. One improvement that the ICC producers could include is that they could make you able to do domestic from every country instead of just England counties. You can get a free trial for two days if you want,Bruce. http://www.cricketweb.net/cricketgames/commercial/internationalcricketcaptain2008/index.php When you go to this page, look for the download 2 day free trial link and it should start downloading. After you have finished your 2 day trial, you can decide if you want to buy the game yourself. Edited by bladescape - 22 August 2008 at 4:53am |

bladescape mate, do you think this game is worth getting? I enjoy playing Football Manager the soccer sim, so I'd be interested in giving this fella a crack.
Do you have to be those pommie county teams for a full season, or can you select Test sides and just play Test cricket ?

I just had the weirdest thing happen.
I had layed all 2 days of the free trial and started up 2008 to see how much to register it,and clicked on the free trial just for fun. Then some how 2008 had some error and suddenly I had no limit to how long I can play on the free trial!
I love programming errors here and there!
