Well, the topic is a good topic. As you rightly said Shan, Inzy is vital to the Pakistani lineup. Also he is a good tactical captain as well and he is an important leader to the Pakistan team.

Look at the performance of middle order of Pakistani batting line up during the ICC champions trophey and anyone would recognize that that Inzi is still the anchor for Pakistan's middle order batting line. Had he been in the team Pakistani middle order wouldn't have collpsed like that. He shoudl be playing at least till the WC 2007.

He is 36 years of age now and has been around for a very long time so naturally he will be beginning to tire now so running may well not be his strong point, however in the recent series V England he hit some excellent boundaries and some huge sixes at a strike rate of 111.5, which is quite some strike rate, so I feel he is perfectly capable of playing cricket at the highest level and he certainly has another couple of years top level cricket in him just yet I believe.

Yeh, you are perfectly correct.

Inzi has definately achieved phenomenal success with pakistani team and no doubt he has brought back the team spirit lacking in pakistani teams of yesteryears!

He should be flown to India with the team just to keep him away from the rest and excessive eating at home, as you may see a even fatter Inzi by the next series! infact he should be sent to an army commando training center for time being!

so far so good!

Not really HawkEye! Inzi is a great player but don't exaggerate the things by rating his leadership skills above Imran's. And also please don't flatter about his appointment as a coach / trainer after retirement, because it doesn't seem sensible to me at least. No one is and should be indispensible for any team.

Fit or not fit he has to be in the team to keep them together, even when he retires i think he should be kept with the pakistani team as a Coach or Trainer........, he has given the Unity and Character to the Pakistani team which they lacked. Imran kahn & wasim akram were great Captains but they were never able to give this to thier teams...

Proud to be Pakistani !

Who cares? You could weigh 700 stone and be pushed in a wheelchair if you average 50 a game.

look people this is a dead subject, he is one of the best batsmen in the world and in the odis he was showing everyone how to field with lots of athletic stops at short cover. sure , he can't bowl but not everyone can.

If i had 3 wishes i would do 3 thing... exile mahmood and harmison, make geraint jones the best keeper in the universe and me the best leg spinner. what a lethal combination!

Very funny 2 day silence. now lets finish the topic.

i think if inzy gets too big to field properly, he shouldnt ahve his aplce in the team, even though he can bat. I mean, there has to be a limit somewhere. I reckon start him bowling a bit in the nets.

I agree mate , the "R" word is thrown around too glibly and in most cases , without foundation. Maybe it's time to go for some wholesale deletions!

Not so Claps , racists disappear very quickly.

A word to all , don't reply to any supposedly racist post , just report it ,and it, and the poster will be dealt with accordingly.
