When I come in to bat my game plan is to be defensive and push for singles and then attempt to play some shots once I have got in.

Although I enjoy opening, I would rather face spin. When I face pace, i try to hit singles and get off strike, when a spinner comes in, I start to play shots.

I open the batting (on strike first ball), it used to be nerve-racking but now im used to it. I quite enjoy it even though I have a better record in the middle overs. I tend to start bat defensive, and will try to score at a rate which will post a decent score or chase a target.
