Chanderpaul, Afridi, Ejaz Ahmed all have poor techniques yet they did pretty well.

Due to his extra high back lift of the bat? He still plays pull shots with his feet almost 6 inches off the ground, but he used to do that more often in his prime youth, when his reflexes were sharper.

Chanderpaul shuffles a lot and always tries to work the ball onto the legside hence suscetable to the inswinging balls.
Even Chris Gayle doesn't have a great feet movement, doesn't come in the line of the ball and is vulnerable against medium pace bowling swinging into him. Typical of West Indian batting line up, exciting batsmen with faulty technique, making them so unpredictable. Edited by shan - 18 January 2007 at 9:39pm |
