Sehwag,Smith or Hayden.
Take your pick. I think that there are no really good openers at the current time but they really top the rest of them. Sehwag:because I love to see him when he really blows an attack appart. Hayden:cause he is quite sollid and can be explosive as well. Smith:cause he just sits there and becomes hard to move, like a wall. Though Jayasuria is good as well. Well he has had a long lay off. I think he needs some time to get back into the groove. And Rauf has not helped his cause.

Looking at the current form of the players, G.Smith and G.Gambhir will be the best opening pair

I dare say Katich, although being an Aussie I'm slightly bias. Smith, Katich and Gambhir are all in tremendous touch.

If Cook also gets back to his best or anywhere near to it, it is going to be a wonderful contest

It'd be just the ticket. I just wish one of them was a right hander.

I expect Johnson will target some of them pommie's ribs! Anyhow, Gautam Gambhir will get my pick for top opener at the moment. Wonderful against pace and spin!

True Zuhair, Sledger has a lot to be grateful for of this English team. When I was growing up, they got mauled left right and centre. Not so nowadays, well, at least not in the longer format.

Haha, funny you have to mention the word 'nancy'. There's a lad by the nickname of Nancy back here in one of the teams I play with and he's probably the best character of the lot. He brings a real good laugh to the team - not a bad person to have around!

Virendra Sehwag. He is most destructive player if he get goings. Just look at his stats whenever he get pass 50 runs in test, he went onto score 150 plus runs.

Yes sehwag must be the best. No fear of losing his wicket and an incredible dude if he gets going. One of only 3 players to score two triple centuries and thats quite an achievement.
