definitely, women should be playing cricket if they want to, regardless of their sex. Well done to the England girls on winning their ashes last year by the way. It just shows women can be world beaters in the same sports as men.
County Sim on extended break until I've got less work and more free time. When I have a specific date, I'll post it in the thread.

Hi,

I am Colin and I'm from Scotland. I have been a huge cricket fan ever since I was forced to play it a school in England! I am now in my 12th year of playing cricket, my fourth for Westquarter & Redding Cricket Club in Falkirk.

I have just set up our new website www.wrcc.org.uk and I would be extremely grateful for any feedback from viewing the site.

I am a Left arm (slower than he thinks) swing bowler, and an enthusiastic but inept L/H batsman.

Unlike many scots I support England at cricket, which can make me unpopular with my fellow scotsmen.

I look forward to some interesting cricket discussion on this forum.

Cricket is my life as is for lots of young people here, only that the administration part of the game is the one thats letting us down, becoz therez a lot of politics going on behind  the scenes. I follow cricket ABC radio, Super Sport and on the net..i mean i will do anything to get cric update, have posted about 10 posts at the moment and i can see i've got a couple of haters on my tail already but it dont matter...

nice to be here though

well im not new today, but i havent yet posted on this topic!

My Name is simon, im currently 18 and finishing 6th form in the summer, than im off to South Africa (Joburg) for a gap year of cricket, my mates call me grandad (mainly becuase ive dislocated both knee caps once each playing rugby and hockey, and thus occasionally twist my knee and walk with a slight limp! i also had a massive hip operation when i was 5 so my left leg doesnt have any rotation!)

i have played in the 1st team at my school for a year and a half and still have another year, and am just breaking into my 1st club team in the birmingham premier league (which i fee my knee's have slowed my progress!)

i originally went to primary school in south africa, but did secondary school here in england,i am a leg spin bowler and an opening bat

hello all!

you need to educate yourself mini ,,,, Go to bbc.co.uk and do some searching on "What silicon valley means".

If you don't know what bbc stands for ,,,its british broadcasting corportation.

Its a premiere news agency in UK.

ok, let me make you clear ,,, generally silicon valley means ,, the heart where the entire software/hardware bussiness exists.

what ,Bangalore is officially the IT capital of India .Pls refer the total revenue generated from Bangalore against Hyderabad.

I agree Hyderabad is growing ,but it is way behind Bangalore's s/w earnings.

It is not a question of revenue, but number of lines of code written per square inch of city area that determines Silicon Valley status, as laid out by Bill Gates.

Why else do you think George Bush visited Hyderabad?

Only reason bush visited HYd is because of the politics carried over by central govt(Congress govt).

95% of the R&D centres of topnotch companies like Intel,Microsoft,Texas,Google,Hp etc.. are all located  in Bangalore only. The reason why all other cities getting projects Bcoz.. its overflowing in Bangalore. How can u compare hyd with bangalore.Go and type in google "silicon valley of India" u can then understand that.

Also look at this link ..better

Hi I am a lady from Cape Town South Africa and it is nice to be here among so many cricket lovers from all over the world.

Looking forward to reading what you all think about various things and making the odd comment here and there myself.

I have been a cricket fan all my life and watch the game on TV, go to matches whenever I can at Newlands and listen to match commentaries on the radio.  Of course the team I support is the Proteas but I admire good cricket wherever it is played.
