Putting in Afridi early is a big mistake. It only pays off once in a blue moon!!
In troubled times, being philosophical helps a great deal, it helps you to remain sane and not do any further damage.

He has great raw talent.  Unfortunately, he doesnt have the temperament to cut it at the highest level.  Its too little, too late for him now.

I'd only play him in ODIs as a finisher, #6 or #7.

putting afridi at first three positions is too dangerous for his team coz he's

unpredictable... in odi I'd play him #8 and test #9

If Pakistan have good solid Batsmen at No.3 and No. 4, then he should open in oneday. At the mement its too dangouras. The other point is: All the other Openers in the pakistani Squad are not better then Afridi. They also get out in the first 3 Overs. Why is it only dangouras if Afridi gets out early? I think everyone expect so so much of him. He is a Lotterie for Pakistan. On his day he wins the Matches alone. I think he has batted in test much better then in oneday. In test matches he should bat at 6 and in oneday he should open

I think he has to be in any one day team, he cannot be left out. I also think its criminal for Pakistan to leave him out of the Test team. He should bat down the order, his leg spin is more than just part time, it can easily tie up and end and take wickets...

His batting, speaks for itself. Explosive.

Ah mean Afridi can clear the ropes with ease so I think no 7 is better for him.

In test matches well i think it;s best for him to play when i am watching PAkistan on tv otherwise take the bench.

When I am watching Pakistan test matches on tv, i pray for Afridi to be in the squad because  it's either a action package of quick fours and sixes or another quick wickets for the oppostion.

He's very flexible in my view. I'd have him down at 6 in ODIs...But he could move anywhere if the situation required it.

True TCA. He could open if they want to concede a quick wicket.

Very true...he must not open!!!! But to be honest, it does not make that big a difference, but pakistan generally concds the openers' wickets in the very beginning

lol sledger. Yes I wouldn't ever have him open.

His legspin though is more than useful in my opinion, I think he's a good 5th bowler.

pretty much he should be played as a allrounder. Coming in at 7 and then getting through 8+ overs of very effective leg spin.

ODI 7 because when half of the team gets out then it means batting line up is collapsed so then you can take the risk of playing a player who if successful can win you the match or if failed, well another wicket gone LOL,

TEST 10, well i don't know the reason Tongue.
The Future Shoaib Akhter with the difference being that i will be a left hander and reverse swinging like Waqar Younis even in the early overs...hahaa :P.

Tests he should be batting at 6, in ODI's he should either open if their chasing a big score, say 320+ anytime else at 5-6 or lower depending on situation.
