Just make sure like inswinger says you practicse keeping your action the same with a variety of different grips. One will be right for you and with enough reps in the nets, you'll find it.

u must make sure your action dosent change from the normal, and obviously, just keep practising, maybe try new slower balls, i have 3 that i continually work on, one that i use the most, then the others i use if i cannot get a batsman out with the other ones or any other deliverys, or if i cannot place it right, like you.

So your a seam bowler who has lost the ability to bowl a slower ball right?
My personnal favourite slower ball is to slightly splay my fingers and leave my wrist cocked when i deliver the ball. This way the ball is still released with the seam in a verticle position, which, in theory makes it harder for the batsman to pick up the slower ball than if its released with you just rolling your fingers over the seam.
The key to success though with a slower ball is practise. If you lose a skill it takes practise for it to return, it wont normally just return on its own, out of the blue.

Hey,

our first season game is rapidly coming closer and i've lost my ability to create a slower ball Angry I've tried all different finger grips and spinning at my usual run up. I was spinning last season for my slower ball and managed to take them by surprise by the slowness and even get wickets from the spin! I now lose all my accuracy when i try this method Cry any ideas? could you tell me your method of creating a slower ball?
new season starting in a week!!!!!!!!!! :D
