Since I have only started keeping up with cricket news in march of 2005, I don't know who the best fielders are today. I have seen videos of Pakistan matches and I have only seen Younis Khan in the slips so I will say Younis Khan. I am quite sure the more experienced cricket folks on this forum know better.

If we're talking best ever, I'd say Wally Hammond, Mark Taylor, Mark Waugh.

If we're talking best currently, I think I'd go for Matthew Hayden.

Solid choices JP , Shane Warne's not bad either! As a kid I marvelled at Colin Cowdrey and Bobby Simpson , both brilliant ! The best I've seen in SA is big Brian McMillan , hands like buckets mate!!
Mental disintegration works for me !!

I went for Hayden as I can't remember seeing him dropping a catchable one, whereas I can (obviously) remember Warney dropping KP. But he has an outstanding record and deserves to be up there witht the rest.

McMillan was the other one I missed from the past, though.

Definately not Shane Warne because of obvious 'Ashes' reasons

But it would be interesting you would take Haydens place in Australia's one man slip for the spinners
