I think both are the best.although everyone prefer warney but i prefer Murali because if warney did't perform at that time they have enough bowling line up to get wickets.but if murali does't perform then its very difficult for srilankan to get wickets.Infact its murali who enable his team to get victories at test level but if warney does not play aussies still win.Since 1997 i think 70 % of srilankan's victories are because of murali and warney's share since1994 for aussies is 45% in victories. What you say

Warney is a show boy. Everyone quietly forgets that although warne has
the most wickets, murali has a better bowling average in ODIs and tests.
Murali will be the best of all time, he has more years left in his career and
will probably catch warnes wicket count.
My two favourite Batsmen:
Jacques Kallis is a very solid but destructive batsmen and not to mention he can bowl as well.
I also like Michael Clarke for his amazing batting talent at such a young age

He doesnt have a lesser average because he has to compete to get his wickets with McGrath, Lee, Gillespie, McDermott, Fleming and HUghes throughout his whole career.

Well Miniwarney is right in that McGrath,Lee and company take a lot of wickets between them. Both Lee and McGrath have better strike rates than Warne.

On the other hand the only real competitor Murali has with he strike rate issue is Vaas. Murali thus have an oppertunity to take more wickets.

Yes he does, you arer very much right vize and i agree woth ypu. The fact is, no one else barring Vaas ever looks like getting poles, so when SL needs wickets Murali bowls all day until all wickets fall. Warne does this far less and has less opportunities to get wickets and usually has less wickets to get.

This argument is useless. I use to have the same argument months ago with Sledger and others. I use to think Murali was better than Warne, but my cricket logic has enhanced a bit and I've figured that Warne is much better than Murali.
Regulation without integration leads to suicide.

Murali  plays a lot against the weaker teams like Zimbabwe and Bangladesh.

[/QUOTE]

Do you think murali goes crying around that he wants to bowl against the weaker teams?

Its the ICC who sets the time table for teams.

And ZImbabwe weren't a weaker team. They had the Flower brothers,Murray Goodwin,Guy Wittal,Cambell. They're wer good players who value thier wicket, specially Andy Flower.

He was one of the few batsmen who hit murali really hard.Others would be Lara,Thorpe,Fleming

who cares who is around u

and miniwarney i think it is an advantage having mcgrath and lee the soften up the batsmen and then warne can come and wickets that is the advantage

while murali has only vaas murali is the best

who cares who is around u it depends on u and ur ability to take wickets

miniwarney shshhshshhshshshshshshshshshs

I think I had proven it once before that Murali is arguably the best ever spin bowler, on averages and the number of wickets taken, infact he is the only one in cricket's history to take 1000 wickets, That speaks a lot about the wicket taking ability of the guy.

Warne is a great bowler, best ever leg spinner, charasmatic, more competitive, got more wickets against quality sides, never been accused of chucking(but banned for using diuretics in a world cup), but unfortunately he will not be considered the greatest!

You cannot compare Murali and Warne. They bowl two different styles. Warne is a better Leg Spinner. Murali is a better Off Spinner. Don't compare them.
