Before you start a new topic (in any forum) please ask yourselves the following questions:

1. Has this question/debate been covered before?

2. Does this thread have a point/is it interesting?

If the answer to any of these questions is NO, don't waste anyone's time by posting it.

Please use the search function to find out if someone has posted a similar thing before. Use some common sense, these forums are nearly a year old so a lot of 'common topics' i.e Warne v Murali, Dream Teams etc WILL have already been started and won't be very hard to find.

Duplicate/Repeat/Stupid topics will be deleted - don't waste everyone's time.

Some other guidelines to think about before placing your thread in the wrong place:

General Cricket Chat - This is for general cricket topics, mainly stuff that doesn't belong anywhere else and isn't specific enough for the international/county/club sections.

Coaching - For discussion of coaching, tips and equipment

Facts & Stats - For discussion of cricket facts, stats and stats related quiz games. Merv has taken over from JALRC as (unofficial) boss in these parts.

Current Matches - For discussion of current and upcoming series/matches. One thread per series, save for polls on Man of the Series.

Cricket World Ratings - For discussion on the value of players and how they are rated according to the Cricket World Rating System. Please post 'Player X v Player Y' in here rather than in the General Forums.

International, County, Club News - Self-explanatory

Website Comments - This is the place to post suggestions, complaints, ideas and queries.

Don't panic about mis-placing a thread - we've all done it and so long as the thread is a good one, I'm more than happy to move it to the right place. It's the pointless ones such as 'Who has the best batting stance' or 'India v Pakistan' in the Club News forum that annoys people.

Happy posting.

JP
