Unfotunately that's true. I doubt that Victoria will be able to win it from here.

Vics have a very long tail mp12, I hope the blues try for a result rather than making it impossible for the vics, I think we only needa draw for the title.

I thought the Vic's had it after bowling NSW out for 281 in the 1st innings. Even though we have a suspect batting line up, I thought we'd still be able to get past NSW's score.

James Hopes is doing too bad is he? I am sure he has done no harm to his place in the ODI team. Watto had a horrible day on the field the other day and he dropped 2 skiers. Poor bloke he was superb while batting though.

Watson's still behind the eight ball even with that performance. He'll have to wait a few more years before he can break into the test team, he'll try for the limited overs game though.

Well, one would think that to be the case and now, the more i think about it, dont be surprised to see Hussey open and Watson slip into the lower order if Hayden doesnt come good. Just when i thought this Watson bloke was out of my life for good.....Wink

How about Lehmann's exit though, 129 and 167, not many better ways to leave the game than that eh?

Ronchi is looking promising, and I disagree with Langer being out my two main statements.

On Sky this morning he was quoted as saying his enthusiasm and joy in cricket has disappeared , so he knew it was time.
Very good player , not one of the golden boys in the test batting line up , but very reliable.  Probably underrated by all except his teammates.

Leehman has quit !

Was Darren Leehman asked to quit by the SA Cricket Assoc. ?

I came across this article today stating

"He denied that he'd been asked to quit by the South Australian Cricket Association, despite being involved in a lengthy meeting with SACA chief executive Mike Deare on Friday that concluded with the planning of today's announcement. "

Anyone with more insight ?

He's been known for his big hitting and is in line as the Australian keeper after Haddin. It was about a year ago when he scored that 56 ball century against New South Wales. He'll be a real star and people will take more notice of him after Gilly retires.

HUGE game in the Pura Cup coming up. Tassy v. NSW!
Winner will most likely host the final, but if NSW loses then they could miss out all together.

Go you Blues!!! (Katich is the man!!)

Yes his form has been amazing with the bat last season he was hardly a regular in both forms of the game but now he is lashing out big tons and taking big break throughs!

Amazing hes scored 500 runs half way through the comp and if he manages over 1000 I think he'd be the first ever all-rounder to score 1000 first class runs in a season in Australia because they only play 10 matches.

the next big thing in oz cricket is the vics all-rounder Andrew McDonald. he has been in amazing form with the bat ths season averaging over 100 in the first-class comp and also bowls handy medium pacers in the mould of ian harvey's mediums.

Gilly has just scored a 63 ball century in the domestic competition in Australia for WA!!!! The 2nd fastest ever. Eventually gteting out to Mitch Johnson for 131 off 95.
And Langer scored the fasted ever 50 by a West Australian getting it in 28 balls. He got out for 51 (30).
The WA run rate has dropped from 8 to 7 now.
240/4 off 34 overs. The Englsih need to be wary of Gilly considering his form.

Yeh what an amazing all-round performance by Stuart Clark proves he can be a handy batsman after that amazing quickfire 64. While Moises Henriques will be playing for Australia mark my word!

While Brad Haddin may have competetion on his hands with Tim Paine?

Moises Henriques is sublime made 43*(24) today batting at 8 he is 19 and a all-rounder with amazing talent born in Portugal.

Other young talents such as Western Australian keeper Luke Ronchi kind of in the mould of team mate Gilly.

South Australian Cullen Bailey leggie who makes a great spin partnership with Cullen.

Western Australian Adam Voges is another holds the record for fastest century in one day history in Australia coming off 67 balls can also bowl some handy left arm spin.

Daniel Doran is another one from Queensland a handy low order bat and a very good leg spinner though he is 25 still quite young in cricket. The list goes on and on...

Don't know if theres any english players here though I think maybe Graham Thorpe from England signed for New South Wales which was last year think he still is. The new season started this week.
