Anywhere between 150-170 seems to be par amongst the top teams, the game already seems to be drifting into a more cautious attitude to batting,  wont be long till some start moaning about the predictability of it.

Unfortunately so. Morne was really delivering the goods today. Albie will hopefully do the same with the bat.

It's disappointing Mojo - the players are professional , too many umpires are not.

Early wicket to get rid of Smith for 2... Is this the start of another classic SA collapse?

So if SA loses this match, will England still have a "theoretical" chance of progressing?

heres a question for the kiwis, has oram always bowled this poorly? I always thought he was a bowling allrounder, but the last 6 months he has looked ordinary.

Yuvraj hit 36 of Broad. 666666 that's amazing, and he made 12 ball 50. Fastest in this or any other cricket format. it will be really hard for England to win this match.

That Yuvraj's 6 x 6 over made the difference! Broad- Sit and weep.

Watch an innings from Yuvraj! Sad for Broad, it was just one of those days! Yuvraj looked pumped up even before he went out to bat and the words between him and Freddie even seem to pump him up more! Good opening partnership from the Indians and that's always a boost for anyside. It doesn't look like Sehwag will be out of the test side for much longer does it.

England started too slow for that kind of total and I think England has made a mistake a few times for the tournament. Mascarenhas isn't going in early enough. Was a disgrace the other day when I think Schofield went ahead of him!

Lastly, I'm vex I didn't get to see the Aussies lose! Angry

However much of an odious weasel Yuvraj may be you could only salute his innings there. Broad didn't do much wrong - only the full toss was a rank bad ball (and ironically the hardest one to put away) - and I was yelling at him to bowl a bouncer, but it was clean striking at its best. Maybe the likes of Pietersen, Shah, Collingwood and Flintoff who on countless occasions have danced all round the crease as the bowler runs in would do well to watch how still he remained.

I've never been a fan or Oram as a bowler, in my opinion he should be a batting all rounder, how he started his career. He ambles in and delivers the ball right in the slot for batsman looking to slog, he also gets some friendly bounce which in turn, assists the batsman.

For some reason Fleming and now Vettori persist with him. I'd have rather seen Styris bowl, or Nathan McCullum send down a few tweakers. Disappointing performance from him really, he cost us the match with his rubbish.

On the bright side McMillan is batting superby, Bond and Gillespie bowling well and Vettori bowling outstandingly! I'm amped for the semi's.
Good one Graham!

A very good point. If you watched both Kemp's and Yuvraj's innings...it shows you that having a still base at the crease makes it much easier to adjust to changes in length.

Some of most consistant big hitters of the modean era...Gayle, Kemp, Klusener etc, don't move around much at all. It's up to bowlers to either get it spot on or get hit out of the park.....

For of all, I will like to thank England alot for losing to India.
Yuvraj says it's payback time but off the wrong bowler. Great stuff again from my buddy Sehwag and the worst part is I didn't see the match.

Tomorrow i bunning School to watch India match, just hope they don't lose then.

Heh., heh, these are the kind of stuff I love, rugby, soccer can't have as much fun and tears in 3 or 4 minutes like the way cricket does.

Thank god for Cricket, one of the best thing ever to hit planet earth, I just love it.

I'd agree with that, I've never been a fan of his bowling either.  He should only bowl when they need to make up numbers for the overs.  Stick to the bat Jake.

Clobs is right again , Yuvraj played orthodox shots to half decent deliveries. Watching the English batsmen (all of 'em!) , they tried to put the ball into orbit. So many things wrong , especially the head all over the place - it was just hacking.
So yet another disappointing performance by an English side in a world event (pick your own favourite sport) and they return home with their tails firmly between their legs.   Someone needs to deflate some seriously oversized egos and impress upon them that success comes from playing the game simply and with intent - no-one wins anything without effort and dedication.

Well done India , but you still need another big performance today.

Stuart Clark's been bowling well all tournament. Even in the Aussie loses he's played a good hand. It's a shame Sri Lanka are heading home really. Due to the format one of the competitions best teams won't be appearing the in the semi-finals.
Good one Graham!

If NZL were to use him as a batsman only, then better not select him at all! I am sure NZL has better batsman than him. He is not the greatest of fielder either. Overall---> Oram is turning into a useless all rounder, who bowls poorly(as our friend Bondy says), not the best of NZL's batsmen and not a great fielder. If this is true, why pick him in NZL side at all?
