Thanks mate, actually I am sick of the trend, indians start a comparison using words like most aggressive, hardest hitter, king of sixes, and when they find Afridi as the only and undisputed reply , they start using words like consistancy, class, averages bla bla. I think in future they should first look at the stats of their players and start threads, like for dhoni they can start " the best performance of a wk/bats aginst pakistan in feb 2006", OR for sehwag " who hit 3 sixes in an inings against pakistan last year" or for yuvraj " the best left hander who played with a runner recently".

I am not against your arguement, but just because one indian said that, it doesn't mean that all INDIANS would say that. I am an indian and i would still agree that afridi and sehwag are agressive players, moreover i think that afridi is more agressive anyway. When making comparisons between players, the first most important thing is to make sure that they make a good comparison. Apart from the reason that they are both agressive, what else is simliar about them? They are different style players and i don't think that it is right to compare them.

I wouldn't say that there style is very different! They are both aggressive. Its just that Sehwag is more sensible.

as soon as afridi comes to the crease any bowler would be scared to bowl to him because they know he is capable of smashing 20+ runs in an over

But he rarely does that. He needs consistency. That's just it. He lacks consistency. Sehwag is aggressive but also consistent.

That's true. You never know when he's going to come in and smash a 40 ball century. Those innings are always very damaging to the opposition but if he could do that more consistently, Pakistan could be sitting nearly at the top of the World.
His performance against India in the test series was just awesome. If he could perform like that in every series he plays, then he could become a great player.

If you are expecting that the young U-19 blokes will perform the same way at senior level ,, then I should say you have grossly mistaken ,,, it was one of those days by Indian U-19 ,, moreover it was a lowscoring seaming unplayable pitch.
Plz tell me one thing frankly,, do you really believe that the two young blokes can do the same thing at Senior level...??

I have not seen even Akram swing that much ,,,
thats what my point was ,,, even the spinner from India Chawla ,,, was unplayable ,, dude it was an unplayable pitch ,, even pakistan skitted to 110 ,,,, then Indian damaged themselves in that period.
I saw the same Ali and other guy in 20-20 cup ,,, he did not swing the ball that much dude ... If you don't beleive ,, have a look at the 20-20 footage.
