Wasim Akram (in terms of how unplayable and unpredictable his bowling is) - Brian Lara said so!

That answer is somewhat bias... at the moment the most potent seem to be Ntini, Lee, Hoggard and Stuart Clark.

Every batsman in the world would definately not like to face the sheer pace of Akhtar & Lee have.

I think whoever faces either one of them would faint before he bowls. I mean people who never played international cricket.

I remember watching a test match on tv between Australia and I think it was Zimbabwe. Lee bowled a boucer and it got through the gap between the helmets grill and the top bit and hit him in the forehead. He got taken off the field and he almost could have been killed from that delivery.

I'd say Shiob Ahktar because goes for your body no matter who you are. He even got Brian Lara on the neck in the last CHampions trophey

Warne is the most feared bowler, not the best thats Muttiah, but when he takes his run up I think batsmen are more afraid.

If you go back to the 2003 ashes series i cant remember at which ground Brett Lee managed to get the ball through grill of Alex Tudor's helmet from what i remember it easily split his eyebrow open. More recently during a one dayer against new zealand Michael Papps decided to charge and try to hook a brett lee short ball. needless to say who came of second best.

What is average is impressive and is only 1 of very few bowlers to take a wicket with their first ball in one day cricket.

Feared does not nesceserraly mean that the batsmen is scared of the bowler knoking his head open. It also means that the batsmen is afriad of the ability to bowl and bedazzle the batsmen. In that case I wouldn't nesceraaly always put Lee and Shoaib on top.

The most feared bowler is shane warne. He has huge amount of turn, lots of weapon available in his bowling suitcase. Most batsman can't pick them. Warnie can single handedly win a test match. His records show he is very dangerous man, when he does what he does best.

^^WRONG^^...The most feared bowler is NOT Shane Warne its Muralitharan...Shane Warne has turn but Murali has way more turn than Shane. Murali can win a test match all by himself and he has done that before....many times. And even though fast bowlers are feared because of the speed batsmen arent scared to face them...any open batsmen in international cricket arent afraid to face them... but all most all batsmen are afraid to face Murali because of his face expressions and also they know that Murali can do amazing things...if u need a wicket bad then they call Murali..and when they call him up the batsmen plays it safe and still gets bowled. So if u ask me the most feared is Murali in terms of wicket taking ability.

If its about turn then surely Stuart MacGill is up there, but I wouldnt think a spinner is the most feared bowler I think it would be Brett Lee & Shoaib Akhtar.Nobody likes to face 150 kp/h constantly every 2 overs.

And of course shane warne has none of these abilities ??? and the reason why he has none of these abilities is because he has only taken 680 test wickets. I suppose your going to tell us that they were all lucky, and that warne has no wicket taking ability at all, because from reading your post thats the idea i'm getting.

Open both eyes buddy, you might learn something.

5-0 You Beauty!!!!!

Thanks for the many fantastic memories Marto, Langer, Warney & Pidg

There's no right or wrong , it's just opinion. To denigrate Warne is to show little in the way of cricketing nous. Warne's brilliance cannot be denied , his wicket count tells the story. Murali is top class too , they are both at the top of the tree when it comes to slow bowling.

Exactly! and when it's their day, all the other stars seem to be faded away. They are simply great bowlers.

I would say Brett Lee is the most intimidating. Not necessarily the hardest to play but on a bouncing wicket I bet he scares even the best.
