He never hit 150k mark. But had speeds up to 148.6k Mainly his yorkers are the ones that are slippery. In my opinion it's Akthar. Probably Larwood, Roy Gilchrist, Jeff Thomson and Micheal Holidng would have been more fearsome. But I could remember Lee was also hunting tailenders (Gough, caddi£k co) during the Ashes. And I want to have Andre Nel in the list as well. He keeps bowling 135-140 then suddenly slips a bouncer 145-150k, which is very hard to pick (ask Allan Donald!!) Any way it's Akthar at the moment Edited by Wal Bada |

Definitely these two in Englands case. Actually in Englands case anyone who can turn it and anyone who bowls over 90mph causes problems to them. |

Same for few batsmens in India. Such as Virender Sehwag and other few. He tries to show others what can he do but ended getting out.

Andre Nel needs shooting... I would say its Ahktar or Lee because of the sheer pace.

Lee and Akhtar are the most feard, but i'll go for Akhtar bcz many batsmen feel comfortable while facing Lee but not against Shoaib.Batsmen thinks twice before he play a shot against Akhtar. |

It has to be akhtar he is so intimidating and batsman are very uncomfortable against him...Murali also because people cannot read what he is bowling!

One example of Shoaib's bowling. When bowled that bowl again Dhoni when Dhoni was hitting 4s on 6s on his balls, Shoaib threw a ball that went right pass Dhoni's had. After that he told umpire that it slipped out of his hand.

i think akhtar to because in the ashes, kp, ok granted he would probably do this to akhtar if he were in the mood, hit a 96mph ball for 6. Lee can bowl fast but never does anything different to disturb the batsmen so kp was free to do what he did

If i had 3 wishes i would do 3 thing... exile mahmood and harmison, make geraint jones the best keeper in the universe and me the best leg spinner. what a lethal combination!

According to me McGrath, Akhtar, Murli, Warne, and Lee are the most feared.
McGrath, Murli, Warne, Lee - Players fear them because they can get them out. Akhtar, Lee - Players fear him because they can get hurt. Lee is there for both as he is feared for both. Edited by DRAVID FAN |

I'd have to say Lee. hes really matured into a bowler who can bowl almost mcgrath like accuracy......... then Whack, a 150km/h bouncer or yorker.

I think Ahktar would be the most intimidating to face. But the thought sfor two opening batsman of having a fully fit Mcgrath leading the attack must make them sick to their stomach.

Shoaib Akhtar for sheer pace, Shane Warne for pure genius. Some batsmen are put out with fear when they even see Shane Warne with with the ball in his hand. A Shoaib yorker is pretty unplayable, but I think Brett Lee has the best bouncer.

I would probably say Allan Donald, Shoaib Akhtar and Brett Lee because
you're not just worried about your stumps doing cartwheels but you're
also worried about your health and safety. At least Murali takes your
wicket and doesnt hit you with a golf club or something while
your'e at the crease because that is what getting hit by a 90 mph ball
feels like.

Well i'd probably say Brett Lee is the one I'd least like to bat against but I'm supprised no one at all has mentioned Andrew Flintoff yet, "that" over against Ponting has to be one of the best overs bowled by anyone in recent time and it was too good for Ponting so there must be some fear of facing him.

BAtsmen didn't feel more fear then Murali and Warne.both of these bowlers just bowls some unplayable deliveries and confused the batsmen.Wher as Lee and Akhtar both of them some times attacks the body of the batsmen,I remember when Akhtar hitted Ganguly with a bouncer on his stomach some where, after that he start wearing safety pads. |

Murli and Warne are the most feared when it comes to wicket taking. You've got be very carefuk against them. One mistake and your out. Akthar is feared for getting hurt. There are two types of fear in cricket. I have been hit in the stomach once, but the bowler was bowling the slower one, so I was safe or else, I woulnd't be posting here. |

I have been hit on the chest by a full blooded straight drive from Saman Jayantha (He opened the batting with Jayasuriya fro SL some time back) when I was about 24. Luckily I was a bulky fellow, otherwise a skinny one would have got a broken sternum(chest bone) with it. It did sting for some time though!!!
