A bit different to the BEST PLAYER, simply post your FAVOURITE PLAYER, no matter how good they are. Me? Who do you think? Go Murali! |

yeah i grew up ther and you kinda cant help but supporting the team of the country that taught you the game, but i was born in england and live in england now, but i love wathcing symmonds and afridi too! maybe im the only one who notices this, but south african sportsman (or south african born) seem to be taking over the world at the moment in Cricket - Struass, pieterson for england, loads of county players (pothas, carter, klusener etc) sports like rugby almost every team in the world has a south african born player! anyone else think thes points are valid? |

I would go for Salman Butt! (similar to Saeed Anwar, the only player to score 194 in an ODI match) I'm a lefty and an opener, but I have better feet movement than him...lol! |

Lee is really good yeah, but I'm not sure he'll ever be as good as Glenn McGrath has been. He's arguably one of the greatest Aussie fast bowlers ever. Up there with Lillie (spelt wrong probably) and Fred Sporroth (soz I cant spell)

Even though I support England my two favourite players are Indian;
Dravid (the complete batsman AND played for Scotland!) and Laxman (just
an absolute joy to watch, no one makes it look easier)

I like Glen McGrath sense of humor, he has a little fun with umpires when he's not bowling and cracks jokes with other players and the crowd, I've always liked Dravid, Lara, Trescothick and Laxman But Ponting has always been my favorite, confident in shots and doesn't hesitate

Mine has to be the imperious Brett Lee. A great paceman who really gives it to the batsmen. He's also a great character and entertains the crowd when fielding by the boundaries... and boy can he hit a six!!... It's just exciting to watch him bowl when he comes at unwilling batsmen with raw pace and swing... He also caused severe problems for South Africa captain Graeme Smith in the VB Series, Owzat Crick?
![]() ------------------------------------------------------------ --------------------------------- Honourable Mention: Shane Warne (Fanstastic Showman and a true legend) Honourable Mention: Kumar Sangakkara (Love The Way He Shouts "Bowled 'Im" after Murali bowls a batsman! )Honourable Mention: Michael Hussey (Exciting Emergence onto the Test scene) |

he got him out a few times, but wouldn't go so far as gave him problems, smiths problem was his form and lee just happened to be the bowler who got him out a couple times, i would say though that lee troubled kallis in the test series, eventhough kallis hadn't played any cricket for a while, it was probably the best fast bowling i had seen in years |
