That's the outrageous pull of a ball from outside off , through midwicket. He pivots on one leg to play the shot and is still on one leg after completing it. It gets it's name from the bird that , when resting , even sleeping , is often seen standing on a single leg. |

debate is the crux of the forum W.G. i dont think ignorance is the right word, people percieve others differently, you of all people should know that. Never assume anything.

When you win the toss - bat.
If you are in doubt, think about it - then bat. If you have very big doubts, consult a colleague - then bat. |

If you believe Pietersen to be unorthodox or to have poor technique then you are ignorant - of orthodoxy and technique. You cannot play some of the shots KP pulls off without great technique. Please do not mistake invention and power for unorthodoxy. |

Instead of making bold predictions about one's character, don't. You problem is that you assume. Often I am joking, you misinterpret, I misinterpret and it all turns to custard. We're both opinionated- let's leave it at that.
PS
I study law- oh and I'm not liable for those who chose to misconstrue what I said, cough 143.no cough, and assumed I was a lawyer. Edited by bondy - 31 May 2007 at 10:46pm |

Somehow I remember also posting that I studied law, interesting you didn't bother to search for that one to weigh out your argument. But, yes in a sense you are right. By the way, who is your favourite player ? |

I don't have one really, I enjoy watching all great cricketers. Sadly, they are becoming thin on the ground.
PS. pretty sure the study comment came after clobber weighed in about your post. Edited by 143no - 01 June 2007 at 3:04am |

kumar sangakkara is one of my favourites. Out of the current sri lankan team, he is the best player equal with Murali.

He is a fantastic player and there is no more such evidence than when he scored a magnificant hundred in Wellington last summer. The only hundred to be scored in the match- a flawless knock, with a not half bad NZ bowling line-up.

My fave player always was and always will be Graeme Craig Smith. Everytime he scores, you can be mighty sure that SA will go on to win the match. My second favourite is AB de Villers.

I think your simply being judgemental. I'm not saying I agree with what he has done, or the way he acts, but I wouldn't say he is a bad person.

Yep, I think you're right about being 'a little pre-judgemental' Samhache, you can't judge a book by its cover. Instead of making assumptions about his character, shall we just appreciate him for his awesome cricketing abilities?
