Women�s World Cup 2005

   Tournament officials coming under fire for having a man of the match award ceremony throughout the entire tournament whilst it being a female tournament. I guess they should have had a woman of the match award then should they?

	Its official now Australia have won and are now mens and womens World Champions. No word yet on who will be crowned (wo)Man of The Series.

	The expected result - a walk in the park for the Aussies. The whole tournament has failed to generate any interest whatsoever and the crowds (or lack thereof) support that view. If women's cricket is to be taken seriously then the standard has to improve massively. Australia looked the only professional side in the competition - some of the cricket played by the others was farcical and didn't help the cause of the women's game one little bit. The South African coach summed it up quite well when discussing the South Africans ,"They must decide if they're playing to win or for the fun of it." .....that says it all.
