Congratulations to England on winning their third World Cup, on Sunday, in Australia.
Perhaps the England men's team can take a few tips from the girls and win something this year?

That Taylor who opens is a top player. The openers and top order was very strong!

Well done girls , you've been the strongest side in the world for a good 12 months and carried that form into this competition.
Can't they simply replace the plonkers in the Caribbean with these lasses ? Edited by Sledger - 24 March 2009 at 5:30am |

Yes, the girls were brilliant!
They now hold the Ashes and the ODI World Cup - in June they will compete for 2020 World Cup title as well - what an achievement that would be if they win that - do you think any of them them will honoured in the Queen's Birthday Honours?
I am not sure about replacing the men's team, however, i think they could learn a lot about team spirit, playing cricket in the right spirit and having fun doing it!

Fair comment about the Queen's Birthday Honours. If the men can all be
rewarded for a lucky 2-1 series win , then all the girls should be made
Dames!
