Cricko, Would you think Fusion is better than Bradbury? Have you used a Bradbury. I want to buy a Custom bat for next season.

best cricket bat is made by a proffesional bat maker heres my reasons.

1: you know what your gonna get absolute quality. (theres times when you can get a bit of quality of kookaburras and brands like that if your lucky)

2: theyll make them to your prefferences

3:You hard earnt money wont be going on some stickers (escpecially kookaburra they are rip offs)

i know im not cricko, but i would rate fusion above bradbury, do bradbury test everysingle bat against a cricket ball to see its performance? fusion do, and they have some amazin willow, so you have a huge bat for not huge weight!

bradbury get only the best wood at the factory in england theres this machine that tests the clefts of wood that they buy, its a ball bearing that gets dropped from a certain height labelled in a number every bit of wood gets tested with the ball bearing getting dropped from the height 12 now anything that rebounds back over 12 is then announced a test players bat so if one goes up to 16 that straight away is ricky ponting bat in australia because his rated the highest.

now bradburies wood is back up to 12 which is exceptional for a club cricketers bat and the lowest they go is 10 in senior bats and 8 for junior bats (boundaries smaller) so really its all about luck when choosing a good bat.... i hope this answers your queries bradbury are excellent bats

are you basically saying that they drop a ball bearing from a certain height and it can rebound higher than that height? sounds pretty unrealistic to me! where does the extra energy come from?

its like a bouncy ball off wood, if you were to drop a cricket ball from that height it would go nowhere because of the way a cricket ball is, this is only done and must be affective because all there wood is sooooo good

They (Bradbury)do appear to make nice bats, however they do buy 3 grades of wood at least as their bats are graded Sterling=Grade 1 timber,Kudos = Grade 2 ,Classic = Grade 3.The difference between Bradbury and Fusion is that Fusion only buy Grade 1 timber and then segregate it into super best and grade one. Also bear in mind that Fusion's top bat is £180 against Bradbury's £250.

Mark.

I payed every cent for the sterling aswell, in western australia all the bradburies have grade 1 wood.

Fusion have made it 100% clear to me that you will get the same product whether you are an international or a youngster playing in the 3rd XI and that there is no special elite service for internationals.

Whereas Symmo is basically saying that with Bradbury's the best wood is reserved for Ponting etc and the not so good stuff is made available to me and you.

I know who I'd rather buy from.

I could have picked my own cleft at Fusion no problem ,although with rough wood it is less apparen't to the untrained eye how the particular cleft will play.I've just left it to James and Bill to make me a blinder and I'm sure they will!

Cheers,

Mark.

James and Bill: we plead to you to keep things at Fusion the way they are and not follow the big names into greed over quality!

What are the chances I won't like my Fusion?? I heard that they have higher middles than most bats. For me that isn't a good thing since I am more of a Front Foot player. I asked Bill that if I don't like it I can return it, but then the postage costs from Australia will be enormous! I can get a Bradbury but if I don't like that I can return it. and Bradbury are only located in W.A, so postage wouldn't be as much.

Mr Lee,

you play cricket in Australia I presume where the tracks are very hard and bouncy if you play on grass, and even harder and still bouncy if you play on artificial wickets. Why then would you want a bat with a low middle?Bats with low middles are generally designed for slow English or Sub continental pitches in India and Pakistan.Having tried a Fusion myself the middle felt huge and I had no problems finding it most times I hit the ball.(which I did incidentally by throwing a few for myself and driving them into the side of the net).I can't imagine any discriminating batsman being unhappy with the type of bat I tried, there again we all have different ideas of what is good ,bad and indifferent.

Cheers,

Mark.

I understand what your trying to say Mark. But I guess all I want is a good all round bat that is also very good for driving. I have the Beast at the moment and sometimes it doesn't have a good feel when driving. And I'm not sure where you play in Aus, because you must be lucky. They pitches we play on here have lots of grass and the bounce stays quite low. Nothing above chest height really and it will be lucky to get it over that height. I have done it a few times though.

EDIT: So you have a Fusion? How do you rate it?

hi Mr Lee,

I live in the UK but know quite a few people who've played in Oz.My Fusion will be ready in a week or two.I tried Bill's son James' superbest bat which was awesome, much better than the L and W I used during last season.Hope this is of some help to you.

Cheers,

Mark.
