Batsman Peter Fulton has been included in New Zealand's one-day squad to face Bangladesh, replacing out of form opener Lou Vincent.

The squad for the three-match series has been trimmed, with Gareth Hopkins and Michael Mason released to play domestic cricket.

New Zealand are looking for an upturn in fortunes after series losses to South Africa and Australia in the past month, with coach John Bracewell commenting, "We welcome the return of Peter Fulton to the squad.

"Peter has shown good form in (domestic cricket), and he has proven in the past he can translate a high standard of performance at domestic level to the international game."

"The selection panel felt it was important to retain the bulk of the team from the recent series in South Africa and Australia to give them the opportunity to build on the experience of those tours and show the talent they have."

The first one-day game takes place on December 26th.
