Furness Edge Further Clear

Furness extended their lead at the top of the North Lancashire and Cumbria League Premier Division after a four-wicket win over Haverigg at the weekend.

Nearest rivals Cockermouth now trail by 15 points after they took a winning draw against Whitehaven and now have 240 points to Furness's 265.

Cleator, who were beaten by Penrith by the margin of five wickets, lie in third place on 213 with Haverigg five points further back.

In Division Two Egremont (233 points) lead Dalton (210) points after they beat Seascale by eight wickets and Dalton were beaten by Penrith.

Workington II, on 208, Ulverston on 201 and Seascale on 200 are still challenging.
