Furness have maintained their position at the top of the North Lancashire and Cumbria Premier Division

Following a convincing eight-wicket win over Penrith, they now lead Cockermouth by 211 points to 189, their nearest challengers only able to score a winning draw this week against Lindal Moor.

Haverigg are in third on 180 points following a winning draw against Whitehaven and the only other team to take a victory this week was Cleator, who beat Keswick by four wickets.

In the First Division, Egremont (189) lead Dalton (184) by five points with Seascale on 172 in third as the title race hots up.

Egremont beat Penrith II by seven wickets while Dalton thrashed Workington by 127 runs.

In the Sowerby Cup quarter-final, Kirkby hit 263 for nine to beat Seascale by one wicket in a thriller to reach the semi-finals.
