The West Indies have called up fast bowler Shannon Gabriel and recalled all-rounder Christopher Barnwell for their two Twenty20 Internationals against Zimbabwe next month.
Uncapped Gabriel and Barnwell, who has four Twenty20 International appearances to his name, have been selected on the back of strong performances in the Caribbean T20 tournament in January.
In eight matches, Barnwell hit 245 runs including two half-centuries at an average of 35 and took six wickets. Gabriel, who has played one Test for the West Indies, took five wickets in seven matches.
Opening batsman Chris Gayle has been given permission to miss the series of two matches on 2nd and 3rd March in Antigua.
Like Gayle, Darren Sammy was given time off during the three-match One-Day International series, but he returns to lead the side in both matches.
He led the side to victory in the ICC World Twenty20 in 2012 and then the subsequent 27-run defeat of Australia in their most recent match.
West Indies T20I squad: Darren Sammy (captain), Samuel Badree, Christopher Barnwell, Tino Best, Darren Bravo, Dwayne Bravo, Johnson Charles, Shannon Gabriel, Sunil Narine, Kieron Pollard, Denesh Ramdin, Andre Russell, Lendl Simmons
