Chris Gayle will be rested for West Indies' Twenty20 International against Zimbabwe on Sunday (28th February) and the West Indian selectors are able to call on a number of players who missed the tour of Australia through injury.

Batsmen Adrian Barath and Shivnarine Chanderpaul and left-arm spinner Sulieman Benn all return while wicket-keeper Denesh Ramdin will lead the side in Trinidad.

David Bernard, Darren Bravo and Andre Fletcher join the squad after not featuring in Australia.

The Twenty20 International precedes five One-Day Internationals against Zimbabwe.

Darren Sammy led his side to a convincing 36-run success over the hosts in the final while the Women also earned praise for reaching the semi-finals of their event, losing out to eventual winners Australia.
Left-arm spinner Veerasammy Permaul is the only new face in West Indies' 15-man Test squad for their forthcoming tour of Bangladesh.
The long-running stand-off between Chris Gayle and the West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) appears to be closer to resolution after he turned down a deal to represent Somerset in the Friends Life t20. He has made himself available for selection by the West Indies during the One-Day International and Twenty20 International series they play against England.
