Chris Gayle has been named in the West Indies squad to take on England in the first two One Day Internationals later this week on Friday (20th March) and Sunday (22nd March).

Gayle missed the Twenty20 International victory with a hamstring tear but he is expected to be fit enough to take part in the series although Jamaican fast bowler Jerome Taylor misses out with a left calf strain.

There is no place for left-arm spinner Sulieman Benn, who took three wickets in the Twenty20 International in Trinidad; Nikita Miller is the chosen spin option.

West Indies: Chris Gayle (captain), Denesh Ramdin (vice-captain), Lionel Baker, Dwayne Bravo, Shivnarine Chanderpaul, Fidel Edwards, Nikita Miller, Keiron Pollard, Daren Powell, Darren Sammy, Ramnaresh Sarwan, Lendl Simmons, Devon Smith
