The West Indies squad of 16 players will remain the same for the third and final Test match against South Africa at Sahara Stadium, Kingsmead, Durban. On Monday, Team Manager Clive Lloyd noted that there was no plan in place to have players join the squad for the series decider, which starts on Thursday.

The West Indies arrived in Durban on Monday afternoon from Cape Town. The series is level 1-1. The West Indies won the first Test at Sahara Oval, St George’s; Port Elizabeth by 128 runs, while South Africa won the second match at Sahara Park, Newlands; Cape Town by seven wickets.

Meanwhile, Captain Chris Gayle has indicated he will not recover in time to face the South Africans in the final game. Gayle is recovering from a hamstring strain and fractured left thumb – which he noted could keep him out for a minimum of two weeks.

Fast bowler Fidel Edwards is also recovering from a hamstring injury and will continue to be monitored on a day-to-day basis.

Team: Chris Gayle (captain), Dwayne Bravo (vice captain), Daren Ganga, Shiv
Chanderpaul, Marlon Samuels, Runako Morton, Brenton Parchment, Devon Smith,
Denesh Ramdin, Patrick Browne, Darren Sammy, Rawl Lewis, Jerome Taylor,
Daren Powell, Fidel Edwards, Pedro Collins.
