Glamorgan To Take On Surrey In Pembrokeshire

Due to the £9 million redevelopment of Sophia Gardens, Glamorgan have announced that their county fixtures will be taking place at various grounds around Wales.

Their May 28th clash with Surrey in the ECB Trophy will be hosted at Creselly, in Pembrokeshire, and will be the first time a county game has taken place in the region.

Other venues which will be used as Sophia Gardens is brought up to standard for the 2009 Ashes Test against Australia include Swansea, Colwyn Bay, Abergavenny and Ebbw Vale.

Glamorgan Chef Executive, Mike Fatkin commented on the news: "We are delighted to be able to fly the flag for cricket in Wales by taking the Surrey match to Pembrokeshire."
