Gloucestershire players have invited fans to St Austell Brewery pub The Albion to find out a bit more about beer in the company of their favourite cricketers.
The Albion, in Clifton Village, Bristol, will host the fun beer tasting evening from 7pm - 9pm on Tuesday, June 18th in association with Gloucestershire County Cricket Club.
Marc Bishop from St Austell Brewery, Cornwall’s first Beer Academy sommelier and one of only 35 in the world, will lead a tasting session of some of the premier Cornish brewery’s award-winning range of beers.
Two players from Gloucestershire - for which St Austell’s award-winning Tribute Ale is the official beer sponsor - will be joining in and fielding questions.
Beer enthusiasts will be able to see and sample some raw ingredients as they learn more about how their favourite ales are created, as well as getting a lesson on how to properly taste beer and describe the different flavours.
A signed Gloucestershire CCC shirt will be raffled off during the evening in aid of the St Austell Brewery Charitable Trust, which raises and donates money to good causes in the Westcountry.
The beer tasting is a free event open to all customers at the 17th century Albion Inn in Boyces Avenue, Clifton, Bristol.
