Cricket World TV - Adrian Gordon Invades England

Back in the second century AD Roman Emperor Hadrian built a wall in northern England to protect the outer limits of the Roman Empire. Modern day cricket gladiator Adrian Gordon is more interested in breaking down wickets during his time in England.

American College Cricket MVP Adrian Gordon (NYU-Poly) has been in England training with the Nottinghamshire County team, at the behest of Andy Pick, performance officer for ICC Americas, through the auspices of the USA Cricket Association. Nottinghamshire won the English County Championship last year.
 
Gordon has impressed with his work ethic and enthusiasm – this is what the Nottingham Post in England had to say about Gordon :
 
"In a queue of Notts cricket academy bowlers, Adrian Gordon stands out. The other bowlers race in with the fluid, textbook action of young men who have had coaching, and plenty of it, since they were young boys. Adrian steams in like a man who’s just overheard the batsman saying something untoward about his mother. His action is less about honed fluidity, more about barely contained aggression."

In the first 40-over game he played Gordon took four wickets. In the 2nd game his team made 126 of which Gordon made 29. He then tore into the opponents batting, taking six wickets to bowl them out for 102.
 
While in India, during a spell with the Rajasthan Royals, Gordon, and American College Cricket co MVP Adil Bhatti (Montgomery College) practiced with Shane Warne, Rahul Dravid, Ross Taylor, Shaun Tait and other Royals stars. They also saw the Mumbai Indians vs Rajasthan Royals game, featuring the world’s greatest batsman Sachin Tendulkar.
