Hampshire Confirm Imran Tahir As Overseas Player

Hampshire Cricket is pleased to announce the signing of the Pakistan A player Imran Tahir as their overseas player for the remainder of the season.

The 29-year-old leg-spinner has previous County experience with Middlesex in 2003 and Yorkshire in 2007, and has more recently been playing in South Africa for The Titans.

Tahir has an excellent first-class record of 240 wickets at an average of 26.

Tahir’s registration has been confirmed by the ECB making him available for selection for Hampshire’s first NatWest Pro40 match against the Nottinghamshire Outlaws on Sunday 20th July at Trent Bridge.
