Hampshire Cricket Bowled Over By Remarkable Pitch

The prestigious Rose Bowl and Hampshire Cricket marketing account has been won by the Winchester based Remarkable Group.

The big hitting, award winning, Hampshire agency secured the account after a four way pitch and has been appointed to provide strategic marketing direction as well as to raise the profile and promote Hampshire Cricket’s forthcoming season and new ‘Executive Club’ membership.

Nathan Davies-Pugh, creative director at Remarkable said: “With a £45 million investment in facilities, including a hotel with first-class conference and leisure facilities and a new 18-hole championship golf course, it is an exciting time to be working with this fantastic venue.”

Commenting on the appointment, Stuart Robertson, commercial director at the Rose Bowl, said: “We were extremely impressed with the strategic thinking, focus and creativity Remarkable showed in its pitch. They clearly understood the objectives and produced a first- class presentation that I believe will produce the results we are looking for this season.”

Nathan Davies-Pugh continued: “Hampshire Cricket is an extremely sought after account and we are delighted to be on board.”

Remarkable PR director, Chris Wotton, said: “It’s a very exciting time to be part of the Hampshire Cricket marketing and communications team. We are really looking forward to promoting the Twenty20 competition which is one of the highlights of the summer calendar.”

The win caps a very successful year for the agency, having picked up four top regional awards, including ‘The Most Outstanding Agency of the Year’ at the CIPR Oscars and the coveted European Excellence 2008 ‘Newcomer of the Year’.
