Hamstring Injury Could See Chapple Miss Out
Lancashire captain Glenn Chapple could miss the opening match of the county season after it was revealed that he tore a hamstring during the Pro ARCH Trophy in the UAE earlier this month.
Chapple tore the right hamstring while bowling against Yorkshire and although he is set to receive intensive treatment, a four to five week layoff is expected which leaves him doubtful for Lancashire's Friends Provident Trophy opener against Glamorgan at Old Trafford on 19th April.
Lancashire finished third in the Pro ARCH Trophy tournament by comprehensively beating Yorkshire despite Chapple's injury.
