Harmison To Join Up With England Colleagues

England have confirmed that Steve Harmison is set to join the squad for the three Tests in Sri Lanka after successfully coming through two first-class matches in South Africa.

Harmison took 13 wickets in two games for the Highveld Lions, and now becomes the 16th member of England's Test squad. He is due to arrive in Colombo on Tuesday morning.

Ottis Gibson, England's bowling coach, had travelled to South Africa with the Durham fast bowler and after talks with chairman of selectors David Graveney and head coach Peter Moores, the decision was made to send him to Sri Lanka.

England play three Tests in Kandy, Colombo and Galle, before which two warm up matches against a Sri Lankan Presidents XI take place in Colombo.
