The final round of group games in the ICC Women's World Twenty20 2012 saw an upset win for Pakistan over India and an impressive victory for England over reigning champions Australia.

England's victory set up a semi-final clash against New Zealand on 4th October while Australia will take on the West Indies one day later.

Neither side have qualified for the ICC Women's World Twenty20 2012 semi-finals but Pakistan finished off their campaign with a historic one-run win over arch-rivals India. Scorecard

It was just their seventh victory in Twenty20 Internationals and the first time in three attempts that they had beaten India, and they did so by defending a score of 98 for nine.

Sana Mir (26) and Nain Abidi (25) top scored for Pakistan and two wickets apiece for Jhulan Goswami, Rasanara Parwin and Anuja Patil looked to have put India into a match-winning position.

However, Pakistan hit back with the ball to hold India to 97 for eight. Nida Dar returned three for 12 and Bismah Maroof two for 18.

Nagarajan Niranjana was run out for nine by Asmavia Iqbal as she and Patil attempted to level the scores from the final ball.

The later game saw England tasked with chasing 145 to beat Australia, and in a manner similar to the semi-final at The Oval in 2009, they achieved it, pacing their run chase perfectly to win by seven wickets. Scorecard

Meg Lanning top scored for Australia with 39 in 31 balls, hitting seven fours to lead Australia's charge from the top of the order. Lisa Sthalekar struck 38 in 28 and Alex Blackwell 27 in 30 further down the order.

Anya Shrubsole, with a haul of two for 32, was England's most successful bowler, taking the wickets of Lanning and Sthalekar.

England's openers Charlotte Edwards (16) and Laura Marsh (8) fell early but Sarah Taylor stepped up take on the leading role and her innings of 65 not out in 53 balls was the match-winner.

She struck eight fours and after Arran Brindle fell for 15, she was well supported by Danielle Wyatt, who was unbeaten on 33 in 17 balls as England reached their target with 11 balls remaining.
