Caldy Cricket Club recently welcomed former England Ashes-winning bowler Matthew Hoggard to open their new artificial net facility.
Hoggard, who played 93 times for his country, was joined by Esther McVey MP and Mike Woollard from the Cheshire Cricket Board.
After opening the new net facility, the ex-Yorkshire and Leicestershire man spent time coaching the junior members (U9s, U11s and U13s) of the squad and taking part in a net session with the senior players, U15s and U17s.
Hoggard's visit was arranged by Join In - http://cricket.joinin.com.
Following the visit, Caldy also held a successful fund-raising casino night in the marquee where a number of prizes, including England-Sri Lanka ODI tickets, were auctioned off.
