Hussey Aims To Go Out With A Bang
The 30-year-old is aiming to sign off with a century when the Outlaws take on Essex Eagles in a floodlit NatWest Pro40 League match, starting at 4.10pm.
Hussey has been in prolific form with the bat this season, but hasn’t yet scored a hundred in limited-overs cricket for Notts and said: “It’s about time I broke that duck and Wednesday’s game would be the perfect time to do it.
“I’ve had probably my best season yet for Notts in the Championship and I’ve been really happy with my form in all competitions.
“The supporters have been terrific to me ever since I arrived and I would love to repay them with a memorable knock.”
Notts go into the match knowing nothing less than victory will do, as they bid to close the gap on Division One leaders Worcestershire.
And Hussey won’t be the only man providing entertainment for the crowd, as local community project Wall of Sound will be performing during the interval.
The Wall of Sound project is an initiative supported by Gallery 37 Plus and Newark and Sherwood Arts, bringing together drumming groups and organisations from across the region.
Other entertainment on the day includes a surf simulator and ‘Everybody’s Talking’ mini-bus, offering practical tips and advice on how to tackle climate change in a campaign supported by Defra.
Advance tickets for the game are available until 4pm on Tuesday August 14 priced at £13 for adults, £7 for concessions and £33 for a family of two adults and two under-16s.
Advance group discounts are also available from the Trent Bridge Ticket Office in person, over the phone on 0870 168 8888 or online at www.nottsccc.co.uk.
Tickets are also available on the day for £15, £8 and £38 respectively.
