The International Cricket Council (ICC) has completed the formalities which will allow David Hussey to replace Michael Clarke in Australia's ICC Champions Trophy squad.

Vice-captain Clarke returned home with a back injury having not trained or played in the tournament while David Hussey joins his elder brother Michael in Australia's squad ahead of their semi-final against England on Friday 2nd October.

David has played 23 One-Day Internationals and 11 Twenty20 Internationals for his country, scoring a century against Scotland on his last international experience in Edinburgh.

He becomes the second replacement player in the squad after Doug Bollinger replaced Nathan Bracken earlier in the tournament.
